Original oil painting of a night sky on primed canvas paper, centered on vintage cream speckled paper, paired with a brown mat (11” by 14”). This artwork and mat would look great in a frame that has the dimensions of 16” by 20” with an opening of 11” by 14” for the mat and art.
This is a small oil painting study I completed using Gamblin oil paints. My goal was to improve my observational painting skills specifically in the hues and textures seen in clouds during the nighttime. I found myself incredibly captivated by clouds faint, light wisps created by moonlight, and loved studying light and its impact on the misty clouds.
