Original oil pastel drawing of a landscape on deckled edge paper (4.1” by 6.1”). This artwork would look fantastic in an antique bronze frame that is 8” x 10” with a mat that has space for a 5” by 7” artwork. From there, use double-sided tape, or glue to secure to a paper behind the mat. I recommend Googling this to find the frame and mat combo! Google: “8x10 in Antique Bronze Ornate Classic Picture Frame, Matted for 5x7 Photos, Real Glass Protection, Tabletop or Wall Mounting Display.”
This is a small landscape drawing I completed using Sennelier oil pastels. Starting this drawing, my intention was to create a landscape that effectively balanced bright, warm red and pink land, vivacious green trees, and a mellow blue and grey sky. Originally, the texture of the paper did give me some unexpected troubles, but I was able to quickly problem solve and it was worth it because I love the end result!
There are very minor cosmetic flaws on this piece. On the border of the cream deckled edge paper, there are small marks where the oil pastel smudged, but it is hardly noticeable. This piece was sealed post completion with an artist grade pastel fixative and protective layer to prevent further smudging.
All sales final.
